Christmas Under Wraps Audience Reviews

Comwayon A Disappointing Continuation
SteinMo What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.
Melanie Bouvet The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Sanjeev Waters A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
HotToastyRag In Christmas Under Wraps, Candace Cameron Bure plays a structured medical student hoping for an impressive hospital to do her residency. To her disappointment, she gets sent to a tiny clinic in the small town of Garland, Alaska. Once there, she notices how full of Christmas cheer everyone is, and the jolliest resident of all, Brian Doyle-Murray, runs a successful factory, owns reindeer, and can't stop eating cookies. Hmm. . .While the story is pretty cute, and Candace is as adorable as she usually is in her Hallmark Christmas movies, the romance is the worst part of Christmas Under Wraps. Her love interest is David O'Donnell, and he doesn't seem trustworthy at all. I kept thinking he was going to lose his temper and hit her; he seemed riddled with problems and simmering anger. But, it's not the worst Christmas movie you can watch on Hallmark this year, especially since Candace always puts her heart into her performances. If you can ignore David, you'll be fine, but if you want a really fantastic Christmas movie, try Hallmark's Switched for Christmas.
ppuhak-82-763644 Looking at some of the other reviews, it never occurred to me, that in Alaska during December it is dark most of the time. But this Hallmark Movie is typical of all their movies. The woman is single and ends up falling in love with some man. Or she is divorced/widowed with a young son who is plays baseball and coached by a handsome man and they fall in love and live happily ever after. This movie has more holes than a Swiss cheese. They would have been better to set the move in the state where it was filmed. One of the previous comments was it was supposed to be so cold, but all the extras are walking around like it's 50 degrees and not 10 degrees
Julia Quist No better or worse than any of the Hallmark Christmas movies, predictable, forgettable, and perfect viewing for the movie goer that buys Christmas gifts in July , wrapped and ready to be mailed by August first. This genre's only purpose is to sell stuff that no one really needs. As an Alaskan, what I find offensive is the collage of images from the continental US, specifically Utah used to represent the fictitious, town of Garland, Alaska. The caricature portrayal of the "Alaskans" does not help either. But in all fairness all films that deal with Alaska (except for one) regardless of their budget have failed in that department.
Stephen Abell Having this set in the wastes of Alaska was a nice touch and made a pleasant change to the streets of big city America or small town America. It would've been great to have a few Inuits knocking about the town... though that wouldn't have fitted in with the Christmas Mythos they are presenting. The writer and the director do a great job in making this an enjoyable story, filled with cheer and festive spirit. The actors bring the script to life and are all beneficial in capturing the essence of Christmas and the film. The only downside to the whole thing is the BIG secret, that isn't much of a secret because you'll probably figure it all out as the new town Doctor gets the tour of the town. That said, it shouldn't deter from your enjoyment of the movie. Good to watch with family or a loved one in front of a crackling fire.
