What a freaking movie. So many twists and turns. Absolutely intense from start to finish.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

I wish movie studios would stop pounding their viewers with this way over the top suspense(less) infused music background continuously as if every single scene was the climax of their film. I for one find it extremely irritating and not benefiting this particular film one iota. Christie's Revenge is as the title infers is about a young college aged women named Christie (played by Dani Kind) who has recently lost her father to a suicide for which she believes her wealthy uncle who is the established Doctor Ray Colton (John Wesley Shipp) could have loaned her father the money which apparently Christie's father wanted to borrow (twice) for Christie's college tuition. So the gist of the film is how Christie plots her revenge against her uncle which includes embarrassing the good Doctor Colton, ruining his reputation, causing grief and tension between the doctor, his wife and his daughter, and eventually explaining to her uncle after poisoning him why she was so devious and was not interested in any of the generosity that he bestowed upon Christie, such as taking her in to his own home and giving her a job in his office.I rate it a 2 for some decent acting, but as I am writing this review my head is still pounding heavily from the most irritating suspense(less) musical score in film history. Stay away from Christie's revenge as the beginning, middle and the ending are all weak, and the over the top suspense(less) music that just seemed to be non-stop would make many people want to kill themselves. Me? I would like to blame the music conductor and the film editors for this awful soundtrack. Which is the most likely reason that Christie's father killed himself at the beginning of the film so he wouldn't have to listen to it any longer.

Is the word for this vacant film about revenge. A sorry bunch of actors as well. Cynthia Gibb, whom I like, is wasted in a thankless and clueless role as the wife who is unaware of the evil around her. I mean how empty headed can you be? The husband, played by another boring actor, John Shipp, is also clueless. I mean didn't he know his brother's daughter? Come on. Then we have the witch herself, played by Danielle Kind, who goes around with one look on her face. "I'm gonna get you". The kid daughter is wise to her from the start. Played by Annie Bovaird, she's the only sensible one in the film. And of course, no one listens to her. Oh, then we have Anastasia Phillips playing a so called femme fa tale. Wrong. She was as plain and plump as she could be. The furthest from being an attractive woman. That was far fetched casting. Josh, played by Jamieson Boulanger, fared better in a smaller role. You believed him.Writing was awful, acting was hilarious, plot was predictable, directing was so-so and over all a terrible movie even for the likes of LMN.

Well thought out. Interest sustaining story. Christie(Danielle Kind)is almost twenty and has led a very miserable life. Three years after her parent's divorce, her father committed suicide; but Christine is easy to blame her Uncle Ray(John Wesley Shipp)for his despondence. The vengeful Christie comes up with a diabolical plan to get even with her Uncle and puts a meticulous plan in motion. She moves in with Ray and his wife Miranda(Cynthia Gibb)and their daughter(Annie Boviard). Christie will employee a willing accomplice Selene(Anastasia Phillips)to turn her Uncle Ray's life upside down and inside out. She is hellbent on avenging her father's death.

Christie is a young college student who suffers from the loss of her father who committed suicide, so Christie holds her uncle responsible and plans to take her revenge.the film has a very basic plot outline, so you can pretty much predict how it all ends, but at least its great entertainment, the acting is good but some character reactions are not very convincing at times, their expressions tend to look a little wooden, although other cast members pull of their roles quite nicelyOverall, its good for those days when you have nothing to do, but do give it a try, and despite the miner flaws it will keep you entertained from start to finish.
