Carriers is no boundary-pusher. It's not the most unique concept, its writing isn't stellar, its young adult actors aren't prodigies, its soundtrack won't move you, and the cinematography isn't outrageous. It's simply decent. After watching it my main thought was "at least it wasn't another zombie movie." If you're tired of summer blockbusters (and I mean, who wouldn't be?) throw this on to kill an hour or two.

Trite, predictable, boring movie that's essentially a "this is what we had to do to survive tale". So people died - well, I didn't care. They were unlikeable. I had no sympathies for them.And seriously? The only minority shown is a dead one? What was the point of the racial slur? To show the viewers that the guys in the masks were aholes? You know, it would have been better if you had kept them guessing. "Oh look there's help. Finally! Maybe. Oh wait...damn! Human nature 1; Decency 0.Epic fail!

Four young people try and survive in a world overrun by a deadly virus. The film concentrates on how the four react to each other as they hit trouble on their journey to find a safe haven. This is a familiar story but it creates a very tense and doom laden atmosphere with great cinematography. The dialogue and performances are very natural and the film makes you question what you would do in the same scenario. This is a much better film than the superficially similar Contagion and benefits from focusing on just a few characters. It shows that even without a big budget if you have a sharp script you can make a very good film. This is one of the few films that gets better as it progresses and the ending was excellent.I wasn't expecting too much from this film and it surpassed my expectations by a long way. If you like post apocalyptic films then this is well worth a watch

Nice little thriller starring a relatively small cast. Chris Pine and Lou Taylor Pucci are brothers trying to survive in a world that has been and is being wipe out from some-kind of virus. Of the two Pine shines way much better.Piper Perabo and Emily VanCamp are the girlfriends. Of the two Perabo stands out somewhat. Christopher Meloni did a great turn as a desperate father trying to get his sick/infested daughter to a safe facility and have her seen by some doctor. Mark Moses has a very good cameo bit as the doctor who has given up big time in finding a cure and prefers a most tragic way to end things.A scary movie without that much scares.? More suspense and drama then anything else. And not that gory at all!. I was very surprised. it kept my attention even though it is never fully explained what truly has happen to the world in general and where is it that they are going. Even at it's short running time, it is still worth a look.
