The U.S. government, eager to protect the nation's avacado supplies, recruits feminist professor Margo Hunt to make contact with the Piranha Women, an all-female tribe who believe men are only good as a source of food. Accompanying Dr. Hunt on her trip are Jim, a guide of questionable competence, and Bunny, a student of unquestionable incompetence.

Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death Audience Reviews

NipPierce Wow, this is a REALLY bad movie!
Lovesusti The Worst Film Ever
MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
Micransix Crappy film
harry-tresoor This is a movie that keeps you giggling for at least three days. I had a hard time to find it, but it was very worth the chase. First, you must look and see some of the original (sleazy) Italian Cannibal movies from the 1970's. Then you have to read the critics on badmovies.org (funny). And then you are all set to enjoy this one. But don't spend your best whiskey on it.Producer and director J.F.Lawton also made 'Under Siege' (1992) and 'Pretty Woman' (1990) and it shows. It is low-budget but it is professionally made, it is funny, clever, hilarious, campy, culty, whatever.Imagine a team of a woman feminist professor, an air-headed teeny bunny and a Crocodile Dundee look-alike going on a jungle expedition - you can't. That's why you must see to believe. In the first half hour you are treated with some not-so-subtle quotes of at least 5 other movies, including Rambo, Superman, Ninja's and Indiana Jones. The quest in the movie is to take out evil Ms. Kurtz - an obvious reference to Cl. Kurtz (Marlon Brando - Apocalypse Now). The end of the Miss is also comparable to that of the Colonel. No surprise that Quentin 'Quote' Tarantino liked this movie. Don't get fooled too much by the culty/campy stamps that are around about this 1989 movie. It is treating some radical feminist issues in a ironic, even sarcastic way. The movie fuelled some fierce discussions on some campuses - but that is all history now.I give it an 8 out of 10 for the great fun.
Burylman I have got to say that this is one of the funniest movies of the 80's! Granted, it was done on a low budget, but who cares? I come to be entertained, and boy, was I!Shannon Tweed was way better than the is when she doffs her duds, and Bill Maher was absolutely brilliant! I'm a huge fan, and it seemed like he was almost ad-libbing some of his more chauvinistic rants (if you see his stand-up and TV shows, you know what I'm talking about). Karen Mistal was fetching, and movie legend (yes, legend) Adrianne Barbeau was wonderful. The barbs run so fast that when one misses, another quickly follows. When Maher comes to the realization that "Oh my God, you're marinating me!!" I almost wet myself.I don't know anyone (other than my ex-wife) who has seen this that didn't love it. I highly recommend it!
GothamGal This movie is very campy and knows it. It tries to make fun of feminists and chauvinists at the same time, and does so quite well. It is very (very) light entertainment.Bill Maher plays a light-hearted chauvinist who teaches a tribe of sensitive men all about beer and corvettes. Seeing Bill Maher in purple bikini underwear before being put into a pot to stew, and having him discover a carrot in the pot and uttering the words "What's up Doc" is very worth the viewing experience..
MarKus-371 Yeah, this should be a cult classic! I know of some cheap terrible spaghetti westerns that are more well know than this, which is a shame. I didnt laugh out loud once, not at all, its still amusing and has some good action in it. There were some funny scenes, like when she wanted to hire the mercenaries, and when Bill Maher tired to teach the Jungle men how to be "real" men! I suggest it to people who love great cheesy B flicks, like myself! This one is a keeper. I give it a 7/10.
