Broken Allegiance Audience Reviews

Alicia I love this movie so much
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Brenda The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Granger I would have rated this higher except for the cliche "light saber fight in the forest" theme. I mean... can't fans come up with more original environments and concepts? That said, this rocks. BEST fight choreography I've seen in any Star Wars film... big screen or fan. The bounty hunter's ship was awesome. Special effects weren't pristine... but good for a fan film. Story was cliche and didn't consist of much more than "trying to get away and fighting the whole way". It's an action film, go figure. So not a lot in the way of originality, but it pulls off what it intends pretty well. Favorite line in the film: "Wrong species!" That's gonna be a classic. :D
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) And if you just cannot get enough of it, then "Broken Allegiance" may be a good watch for you. This Australian 23-minute movie was written and directed by Nick Hallam back in 2002. It is his only effort in both these areas as he mostly worked as cinematographer and editor since then. The action in here is not too interesting in terms of the story, but not complete failure either. The lead actress is pretty nice to look at and the obligatory light saber sequence was probably the highlight of the film. All this is not enough though to make it worth the watch, even for a film that runs only for slightly over 20 minutes. Thumbs down.
Mika Rantanen Excellent Star Wars-fan film. Special effects looked good and plausible and acting was ok. The plot is the main key - movies is not comedy as fan films usually are, and I consider that to be great. This could be a commercial spin-off! Although characters lack the evil mind of the Dark Side Devotee and considering their amounts of training, I don't think they would handle the Force Lightning... but I think they work out just fine to story like this.Great fan fiction, best Star Wars fan movie I've seen this far.
Pietro Good job, boys! I think this is a pretty good film, with good actors, good director and very good fighting scenes! I hope we'll see a sequel soon!
