Boot Camp Audience Reviews

Colibel Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
RyothChatty ridiculous rating
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Paul Magne Haakonsen I can't claim that reading the synopsis on the back of this DVD cover did much to spur any interest. But what did catch my interest was Peter Stomare and Mila Kunis. That being said, then this is a very campy and predictable movie. The story is about a correctional youth camp located in the remote Fiji islands, where parents send troublesome kids in order to get their kids back on the right track. The Island is run by Normal Hail (played by Peter Stomare). As the troublesome youngsters progress through the program they earn a new colored shirt indicating where they are on the ladder to recovery. But just what is going on at the correctional boot camp? The storyline itself was entertaining enough for what it was. Just don't expect anything extraordinary, and prepare yourself for a very predictable ride.It was Peter Stomare who singlehandedly carried this movie, and everyone else were just riding along in his wake."Boot Camp" is a less than mediocre experience. And it is difficult to come up with anything to recommend why you should sit down and watch this movie.
Slobodan Stamenkovic Story about solving problems or making them even bigger. This is story about parents and their kids, invited to this world without knowledge where they are going and without consent. Then something happens between parents and child, we have problems and some parents think problems can be solved better by other people. What about love? What is limit for showing love to your better half ? Maybe I would do something else but this character is being radical. Love is like mission impossible so everything is possible. Sophie asks boyfriend something ,and he hesitates but after sometime he realizes what love is and...Mila Kunis is like always...You have minimum two reasons to watch this movie. One is good life story, another is Mila Kunis. No no I am wrong three reasons, good life story, Mila Kunis choosing this script and Mila Kunis acting!
Spuzzlightyear It's amusing to see that I've seen movies like Boot Camp before, from the hippie "Punishment Park" in the 70's to the Olivia Hussey "Turkey Shoot" which blended this genre, amusingly, with "The Most Dangerous Game" this type of material is not exactly original. (And actually, if you want to take it further, movies like "Battle Royale" and of course "The Hunger Games" owe a lot to this as well). Obnoxious, misunderstood kids are taken forcefully away from their home and onto an island, where they try to learn some manners! Fortunately Mila Kunis and Gregory Smith disagree with the whole setup, and try to find a way to escape. Comparing it with other films of the same genre, it's a bit more hard to take, because it takes itself way too seriously for it's own good.
Steve Pulaski Most of us are used to torture porn. With movies like Cabin Fever, Hostel, The Collector, and the countless Saws its a shock we can sleep. Those are all nice, though this one is real. The movie is about Sophie (Mila Kunis). After he father's death, she is stressed out in her life. Her parents are worried about her odd and relentless behavior toward her new stepfather, so they send her to boot camp (I would have sent her to a Daddy-Daughter Dance, saves money).Boot Camp members basically brutally kidnap Sophie and take her to a remote island off of Fiji. Instead of being a training camp like expected, it turns out to be an endless abuse and embarrassment school.People are locked in holes, thrown in mud, and beat with rods when refuse to do their work or just simply tired. Sophie's boyfriend Ben (Gregory Smith) does bad to get on the island and rescue her. But the strict leader doesn't like that.In the case of torture porn Horror movies. This one is real. The events in this movie actually occur. Unlike in Saw where a killer with lollipop circles on his face tries to lock you up in traps, this one is actually likable and realistic. The concept is stunning and meaningful and makes you feel as if you lived the story happening to these characters. Not a movie to watch twice, but definitely a must see kinda movie.Starring: Mila Kunis and Gregory Smith.
