Blood, Sweat & Teeth Audience Reviews

Micitype Pretty Good
mraculeated The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
Kaydan Christian A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Kamila Bell This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
tinker3006 I do like to watch mixed martial arts, boxing, tough man competitions and those types of sports but to me this was one of the worst,if not the worst film work I have ever seen on any similar sporting event. The camera work is mostly if not all from a hand-held camera which made for a very jittery kind of feel,I would expect smoother camera work from a parent filming their child competing in a school sporting event. I also didn't care for the blurry and streaky special effects in the film and the way the color shifted repeatedly to black and white and back again during the fights. To me it made it hard to keep track of which person in the ring was which.I'd have liked to at least known more about the individuals that were competing like their height, weight, reach and possibly their ring record and their ages.To me this film was so bad that I decided to post this review merely to spare others the time they'd waste watching it.
thatguy_78757 This film follows a wrestler and boxer from Austin, Texas (David Rivera) as he trains for his first "no holds barred" mixed martial arts tournament in Macon Ga (one of the few places these fights were legal at the time). It touches on the concerns of his friends and family about his safety and comments from his fellow fighters about the (then) new sport of mixed , martial arts. This was shot several years before Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) was popular on on TV- so it was one of the first of its kind.At the time it was made- it was praised in the martial arts community as one of the most honest looks at MMA ever made. It covers all aspects of his training, and not just bloody fight footage. It also has some rare footage of some amateur fighters who are now very well known in the martial arts world.
