Tetrady
not as good as all the hype

n my opinion it was a great movie with some interesting elements, even though having some plot holes and the ending probably was just too messy and crammed together, but still fun to watch and not your casual movie that is similar to all other ones.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

The Plot.A sex-crazed nympho helps speed along her father's death so she can use the inheritance to help out her depraved boyfriend.Firstly the movie sucks. It's one of the weirdest films you'll ever see, and not in a good way. It's really horribly tedious to watch. On the plus side the technicolor rendering is great. But to be perfectly frank, all three stars I am giving this movie are because of the female lead who had the hottest body I have ever seen.Coupled with this is her complete willingness to strip down every 5 seconds. It's an amazing body to observe. Not an ounce of fat and the longest, flattest torso you will ever see.Get out the Vaseline.

"Dr. Craig Cooper" (Peter Carpenter) is a young doctor who finds himself being blackmailed for performing illegal abortions sometime earlier in his career. After hearing of his predicament his girlfriend by the name of "Cheryl" (Reagan Wilson) does her best to help him out. Likewise a woman named "Victoria Waterman" (Maria de Aragon) also wants to help him out by murdering her own father so that she can give him the money to pay off the blackmailer. But things don't work out as planned. Now rather than reveal any more of the story and risk ruining it for those who haven't seen it I will just say that this particular movie had some good moments here and there. Unfortunately, there were several dull moments as well which tended to slow the film down quite a bit. Additionally, with two beauties like Maria de Aragon and Vicki Peters (as "Gail Waterman") on hand to grace the screen this movie could have been much better if the director (Robert Vincent O'Neill) had been a bit less artistic and more focused on passion and suspense. As it is I rate this film as slightly below average.

During their multi-decade reign at the drive-in, B movie studio Crown International Pictures handed a few really strange movies, "Blood Mania" being one of them. While the title might make you think that you are in store for a horror movie, the movie really isn't. In fact, there is no blood or anything remotely horrifying until the last ten minutes of the movie! It's more of a straight drama instead. It starts off a little intriguing, but soon it gets really talky, dull, and incredibly slow in unfolding. Yes, as other user commenters here have brought up, there is a great deal of nudity and sexual situations, but none of it is the least bit erotic. The one positive thing I can say about it is that for a real cheapie, it is well photographed and well lit. By the way, fans of B movie actor Alex Rocco who may be thinking of watching the movie to see him, be warned that he only has two brief scenes.

Written by and staring Peter Carpenter, this is likable enough but doesn't really deliver. Apart from many rather good, unusual and colourful camera angles, this has more the look and feel of a TV movie than a 'Drive-In Classic' and we certainly have to wait a long time for any blood or mania. The story is well enough told and just about holds the interest, helped enormously by the above average psychedelic soundtrack, but it can be slow at times. indeed we get slow motion scenes and occasionally it appears the film may actually stop. There is a fair amount of flesh on display but it is not blatant and the scenes often rather dark. So, if the title suggests, sex and violence, be more prepared for an updated Peyton Place.
