It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.

I quite enjoyed Bewitched. I was familiar with the TV show of the 60s and believe Elizabeth Montgomery made the role her own. However Nicole Kidman wasn't too bad and even mastered the iconic nose twitch for the role. The story was quite interesting, believable to an extent and entertaining. Will Ferrell also did a great job as her co- star. As far as remakes go this was pretty well done and had some decent performances. I do not feel it deserves such a low rating as I too was a fan of the classic TV show and can appreciate this film. I won't be surprised if people listened to 'critics' and made up their minds not to like it. However every person who fancies him or herself as a reasonable film critic should consider the canon law. Thou must not judge a film on its reviews but on its merit and worth.

I finally got this movie on DVD because,, well it was for sale. I like Will Ferrel and Nora Ephron, so i figured I'd give it a shot. This had a lot of potential, but wow,, a witch, who is accidentally cast as a witch in a TV show? Yikes! There was a great cast involved and could have been a real hoot but the premise of the whole movie is just off the mark. Why didn't they just do a movie based on the original idea? A witch who marries a mortal and he has to deal with all her wacky relatives. Could have been hilarious. Oh well, it is what it is. I watched it once and it shall now be relegated to the pile. The individual performances were okay though, just the story really really does not work. Thanks for reading!

This is an absolutely darling picture that works on so many levels. I've never understood why it didn't connected with more people. Will Farrell's absurdist thing sits well in the context of Nora Ephron's twinkle-in-the-eye romance comedy (without overwhelming, a testament to Farrell's increasing dexterity at the time). The fantasy elements--the witchcraft "instant gratification" and Isabel's flights of fancy regarding love and prospects of a normal "messy" life--contrast nicely with the supposed reality elements--Jack's self-centered Hollywood cynicism, his shameless (yet charming) agent played by Jason Schwartzman, and the team of studio role-players assembled to get the television reboot off the ground. It's fresh and a little weird (in a good way). The cast is amazing, quite an ensemble, and Nicole Kidman turns out one of the most nuanced, quirky and original performances of her storied career. Genuinely funny and heartfelt, her Isabel is crucial to making the movie work. With the spirit of 60's movie / television nostalgia close at hand, Ephron, Kidman, Farrell and co. come together to craft a lovably unique homage to the era and the show itself. It may be silly, but I think this is a wonderful film!

Bewitched is a very mediocre movie with a promising storyline and a great cast that sadly both failed to be as good as they could have been.Firstly,I don't think this movie should have been about making a remake of Bewitched,it should have just simply been a movie reboot of the well known series Ferrell and Kidman would have done a much better job,I think personally, playing Samantha and Darrin rather than greedy actors that are playing them, also we wouldn't have to have constant jokes about the film industry, they clearly thought they were being clever and self aware but after a while it just got annoying.A lot of people complained about the lack of chemistry between Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman, but I honestly thought they worked quite well together and though I will admit they did not appear to be in love, they looked liked they enjoyed working together.Steve Carell's cameo was my favourite part of the whole movie,he was only beginning to make it big when this came out,but this brief appearance showed that he is a genuinely funny man, this scene and the obvious friendship between him and Ferrell was the only part that had me in stitches. It has some good moments, but honestly Bewitched is not a great or memorable comedy and I would only recommend it to you if it's ever on television and there is nothing else to watch. A real life witch trying to live a non-magical life is cast as Samantha in a TV remake of Bewitched.Best Performance: Steve Carell Worst Performance: Kristen Chenoweth
