probably one of my favourite movies of all time. its such a shame it was not considered for Best Foreign Film at the Oscars. it was obvious that the Chaplin scenes and moves were added intentionally. the whole movie was totally not like any other Bollywood movie at all. love the French essence in it, especially the music. also, the movie captured the beauty of Darjeeling perfectly. i've never been to India but this movie has made Darjeeling as a place that i definitely have to go before i die!as for the story, it is fresh and i really like how they build suspense by putting present time and flashbacks together. their love story broke my heart. thats all i have to say lol . all in all, a very very very good movie.

For me, this movie was too long and too boring.Actually there are two parts in the movie, the first is excruciating as the main character tries to get a girl who reminds me of Penelope Cruz. Many times I was frustrated by the main character. I could not make any sense of his gestures. Sorry but he is not such a good communicator. Actually I started hating that actor and would not watch another movie with him on it.The second part was more entertaining. He then settles for a more accessible girl.I guess the movie would be better if it lasted 30 minutes. No more time would be needed for an able director and guionist.

After a long time has a movie touched my heart so deeply that even after days of watching it, each time I think of the movie, I find myself smiling. Everyday, as I listen to the songs from this amazingly beautiful movie, on the translucent screen of rain drops, I can see the whole movie in front of me and am in love again! Despite the fact that 80% of the movie is exclusive of dialogs, you will never for a moment feel you are missing something. The music, the screenplay and the expressions by the actors, especially Ranbhir, are enough to keep you engaged for the whole 3 hours. You will find yourself laughing at his silly-sweet antics, smiling at Priyanka's innocence and silently admiring the sheer beauty of the director's caliber of story-telling. And don't be surprised to find a tear trickle down your cheeks every now and then.And though there could have other better movies to send for the Oscar, this one's definitely worth a watch, maybe even two! :)

I saw many people saying that this is a copy but i believe even if its a copy its a very good one. People should appreciate that its a very good film with great cast and great direction . People also say that its overrated. i believe every Hollywood film is overrated as most of them get 5,6 and even 7 stars for average films. Please enjoy the film as i deeply did enjoy it actually . I had no plans of watching this movie but i got free tickets so i watched and i liked it. Priyanka was great and feeling of jealousy among girls. true love does not have boundaries nor barriers I loved Barfi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NK
