Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses Audience Reviews

SmugKitZine Tied for the best movie I have ever seen
GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
Jakoba True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.
mnttrekker-76210 I love this movie, especially all the little details and subplots-- such as the monkey, and I'm an old man! It's sure to be loved by little girls (and probably most boys too). I've tested it out on the little girls in my family, or vice versa, to be precise. If you don't like classical music, in particular Mendelssohn, then this might not be your cup of tea.I like the portrayal of the princesses as not being so stereotypically girly. It is very rare for me to reward a movie with a "10."
vphawkeye233 This Movie's about 12 Beautiful Princesses who love to Dance until the King summons his Cousin the Duchess(Of Doom)to teach the Princesses how to be Proper Young ladies, But the Duchess makes the Princesses lives miserable by banning Dancing, Singing, and everything the Princesses love dear from the castle. But not all was lost when the Girls had their Mother's story about a Magical Kingdom Comfort them after the Duchess made some changes around the castle (Including the Girls wardrobe) later that night the Girls discover a magical world where wishes come true through the Mosaic of their bedroom floor. The Girls were having fun dancing for Two nights unaware that the Duchess has poisoned the princesses father so she could be Queen, and it was up to the Princesses and the Handsome royal Cobbler Derek put a stop to the Duchess's evil plans! My favorite part of the Movie is when the Princesses go into the Magical Kingdom sometimes I wish I could go there.
jolene-21 I feel that this movie is different from so many others in that it shows a family of girls who actually care about each other. They may have faults, but bitterness and put-downs have no place with these girls. Try to find that on TV or in the usual movies. It is a breath of fresh air to see girls being feminine--wearing beautiful, feminine dresses and shoes. Contrast that with the apparel in stores today, i.e. raggedy and faded jeans and jackets, etc. The story line has an evil thread running through but that is what makes it more realistic and interesting. I know that it is animated, but it still gives you a feeling that families can stick together and come out okay. I would recommend this movie for boys and girls alike.
Rachel Mathews This movie was very cute and totally little girl appropriate. My nieces have watched it non-stop since they've gotten it, and as a result I've seen it nearly 4 times all the way through. I can't get enough of it. The CGI images are great to watch, the humor is good, and the ballet portrayals are excellent. Although the story line has a few holes, no little girl will pick up on them, and as an adult, the movie is so charming that one hardly even notices. Just keep in mind that it is a Barbie movie, and, though cheesy at times, in my experience, this one lives up to the high standard which the other Barbie princess movies have set for it. I would recommend this to anyone who has a little girl who has always wanted to be a princess. It teaches a good lesson as well. Everyone is special and different in their own way, and everyone can make a difference.
