Baeus Audience Reviews

SpuffyWeb Sadly Over-hyped
WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
FirstWitch A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.
Lachlan Coulson This is a gorgeous movie made by a gorgeous spirit.
Rectangular_businessman I liked this short animation a lot.The animation style was very good, with simple but cute designs and a lovely use of colors, being very pleasant to look at it.Even when the premise of a little bug falling in love with a human woman might sound strange, the idea is well executed here, leading to many funny and unexpected situations. In that aspect (And in every other aspect, to tell the truth) it's certainly much better than the awful "Bee Movie. The ending was clever and brilliantly delivered. This was a very enjoyable short which I recommend to any viewer.
MartinHafer Despite the simplicity of the cartoons of Bruno Bozzetto, they are almost always funny and well worth seeing (aside from an occasional dud, like LIFE IN A TIN). Well, if you are looking for a good laugh, this is a good place to start. The film begins with a couple arguing and breaking up as a lowly bug watches. Then, once the lady is "available", the bug spends most of the rest of the film trying to capture her heart. This is pretty cute. Then, unexpectedly, a bit of magic occurs--leading to a wonderful and unexpected ending. In some ways, it's reminiscent of "The Frog Prince"...but on drugs! By the way, I wonder if this film was influenced by The Cars' video "You Might Think"--there are a lot of similarities. And, for that matter, you wonder if Gnarles Barkley's more recent "Gone Daddy Gone" video was influenced by this or BAEUS--they all have a very familiar plot--but one you'll still enjoy.
