Good start, but then it gets ruined
Ava-Grace Willis
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

This is ultimately a movie about the very bad things that can happen when we don't address our unease, when we just try to brush it off, whether that's to fit in or to preserve our self-image.

Badri and Vaidehi are fantastic in the film.As you know they are good Jodi's on screen.Varun Dhawan is the charm of the youth who has done films in different dimensions.
Anyways since it's about film.i should say it has all elements of a village. The guy fights fights for their rights atlast.
It was earlier known that it dealt with some social issues.
Alia Bhatt is stunning with her appearance and dialogues. There are two versions of the same song in the film.
The song Aashiq surrender was beautiful with the title song. There is also presence of romance and longing for each other.
The accent is very nice .The characters of Bhabhi and Bhaiya are crucial for his sustainance.I wished that I could have watched this film like Dishoom and Bajirao Mastani.
There's scenic beaybe in the film and all cast is perfect.Any one would love to have someone as caring as Badri.

One of the worst movie I've ever seen. Forwarded through most of the movie, only to see the most clichéd romance, most clichéd patriarchy and most clichéd ending. Movie tries to give a good message (anti dowry and equality for women) by promoting other evils like stalking, wrongful confinement and insensitivity towards male sexual harassment.

Badri and Vaiydehi share an awesome chemistry on screen in the movie Badrinath Ki Dulhania.Badri is a reckless guy from a U.P. village and Vaiydehi is a modern girl from a metropolis. Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt both have rightly portrayed their respective roles in the movie. The cute comedy from the David Dhawan blood can also be seen.A sweet smile can on your while watching this whole movie 😊😊

You can call me culturally biased if you like, but I cringed all the way through this. I understand the positive message the director said he was trying to send, but this is not the way to do it.How can you love someone who threatens to kill you and puts you in the boot of his car to take you back to India to kill you there? And the constant fighting...? I simply couldn't put all that out of my mind. And the weighing of a pregnant woman? This may be an old custom, but it certainly treats the woman like an object. And the idea that a woman can't make choices because her father is going to run her life....sorry, it just makes me sick. Just the portrayal of these idea--even it's to criticize them--was too much for me. Sorry.Leaving that aside, there was no real plot, the first half was much better than the second half, and the "humorous" sidekick was just an annoying distraction. What plot there was was simply a repeat of hundreds of other Hindi films. Not a good effort. On the other hand, Alia is radiant, and I look forward to seeing more of her.
