I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
Teddie Blake
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Bessie Smyth
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Matylda Swan
It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Qasim Idris
I was getting sick of all these superheroes movies. So I came across this one. Seriously it's one of the best movies of this year. No spoilers. Please avoid watching the trailer and just watch the movie. You won't be disappointed.

When i first heard about the plot of this movie I felt very excited and couldn't wait to buy it on blu ray. I really like horror movies where someone is found tied up or trapped in a house. Then I realized it was directed by Dean Devlin, who directed the cheesy and over the top "Geostorm" I wasn't sure what to expect since this is only the directors second feature film and its quite a genre jump from his last movie. "Bas Samaritan" isn't a bad movie, but it's definitely not a "scary" movie either. It's a susoense film, driven by many edge of your seat moments. The script is written kinda cool, how it has the two main protagonists going back and forth between places and it spands over the course of several days instead of just one night. It was also overall well made and had a confident run time. The problem, tho, is that it's not really scary and they kinda held back with violence yet wanted to give it an R rating. The movie was also boring in some parts. There is nothing to "predict" so it all becomes quite routine with a slight edge. The production values are too prominent and its almost too clean. This movie would have benefited from some grit. It wasn't until after the half way mark that the movie really started to interest me. There was one or two violent scenes that were done well but that's it and it took an hour to get to them. The acting is good though, especially from David Tennant. Good movie for light hearted horror fans but definitely nothing to write home about.

I was so frustrated when I saw this movie was released only in a few theaters! I had to wait and wait and wait for it to be in a theater in my area but I was willing to wait! The first 1/2 is a bit long...that's the only reason it didn't get a 10. The last half and the ending...FANTASTIC! Great Mystery, Thriller and Drama all rolled into 1.

This is a total letdown. It has the pace and "character development" of a crappy tv movie, full of clichès like the psycho rich billionaire, who is so unhinged that his catch phrases become involontarily hilarious pretty soon, or the clumsy hero that has become a sort of 21st century trope, exemplified in contrast by the bravado of the "damsel in distress" who hits the villain first and then excoriates the protagonist with a most brilliant line like "This is how you save someone".
Too long, too slow, too predictable.
