Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

If you are in the United States, and I presume Canada, you can rent this on Netflix!! Title sounded so cute that I decided to check it out. The previous commentator said Azit put Lassie to shame. Perhaps the better comparison would have been to Rin Tin Tin, being that Rinnie was a German Shephard.Acting was average, clearly wrapped around the star of the show, Azit. And it should be mentioned that some of it would not be considered politically correct in this day and age. Think Cowboys and Indians, only set it in the Middle East, and remember this IS an Israeli film from the early 1970s after all.Music soundtrack was the typically happy-go-lucky music of the early 1970s.Overall, it put a smile on my face, and think most dog lovers would feel the same.

I saw this in a movie theatre in Jerusalem back in 1972 when it came out as a first run flick.I was 11 years old. It was the coolest movie I'd ever seen. Azit puts Lassie to shame! I mean really now...did Lassie ever jump out of a plane and rescue Israeli soldiers caught behind enemy lines??? Well of course not, and Lassie doesn't even bark in Hebrew. How was the acting? Well it seems like Azit was well trained. She was a German Shepard as I recall, but I couldn't place a face onto any of the actors. The question is, was this really a good movie? I mean hey, what does an 11 year old know? I'd love to see this as an adult just to see how much I have grown up... But somehow I bet it would be hard to find in the USA and I've forgotten all my Hebrew so I'd have to hire an interpreter..
