Area 51 Audience Reviews

KnotMissPriceless Why so much hype?
Matcollis This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Celia A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
smsenna I wish I wouldn't have wasted my time watching this, as it was nothing but complete nonsense from start to end. In my opinion, you will be dumber for watching it. There's no possible way anything done by the kids in the movie could have been accomplished to penetrate the defenses of the Groom Lake facility, just for starters, let alone getting into buildings or finding what they supposedly found, and the ending... good lord.
mariellealien I was entertained. It's not a great movie, but for movie night it's not too bad. Popcorn and laughs makes it better. Don't expect to be scared though, it's not scary. In some places it reminded me of Outlast/Outlast 2 and Blair Witch Project (as in the original) -but sadly with none of the scary factors.
sicboyslim First off, if you don't like the shaky cam films then don't watch it. I personally like the style of films. I thought this movie was well done, found it very..satisfying, most movies about aliens and stuff they never really find anything but this one was different. It was a little slow at first but wasn't totally unwatchable like others have stated. It quickly gets to hidden secrets and trippy stuff. It's like he wanted to go down the rabbit hole so bad, once he was in it it just kept getting deeper. Once he got to that last point, he knew he had gone to far and was f*ct. Just like that guy told him. That freaked me out. N that's what I was looking for.
skybrick736 Oren Peli is now officially a one trick pony after his latest found footage flick called Area 51. Again, similar to the first Paranormal Activity, there is a lack of story and realistic actions by characters in Peli's latest. Additionally, characters are weak, having little to no back-story and often times unlikable. Even with Peli's out used hand-held style of filmmaking, there is a particular originality to the film based on the alien side story. There are creative imaginary thoughts and well done shots of cinematography with this film. It almost seemed the film steadily managed to save itself as the film progressed. By no means would it be a film I recommend to people looking for the latest and greatest of 2015 but it's not a total waste, even when I wanted it and expected it to be.
