Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters Audience Reviews

Linbeymusol Wonderful character development!
ThiefHott Too much of everything
Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Chad Halsman This is purely a fan made movie, as it offered very little to anyone else but their fan base. It had its funny moments, it was stupid, but stupid funny. The main plot was the main characters Master Shake, Frylock, and Meatwad. It starts off in a bizarre desert setting and then begins with a bit of weird back story about the origins of the characters. I doubt the idea that the creators of this movie had were continuation. The ideas and history does not make sense at all and even to the true blue fans the plot is still hard to understand. However it was a fun little movie that had plenty of stupidity for teenagers to enjoy. There really is not much I can say about this movie, but it is worth a watch if you enjoy crude humor. The main idea of what I have come to understand is that the three characters have banded together to stop the Insano-Flex, and then to find their creator. More random and absurd characters find their way into the scenes as the level of organization just goes all down to hell. There is not really much justice I can do this movie, it is just one of those movies that you either like it or hate it. A movie in which you need to see to believe, and a movie in which is really made for the fans and a homage to the fans of the show. Overall it gets a 60% because its humorous but really made for the fans, so if your a fan I definitely recommend it, but if your not a fan just rent it off of Netflix for a night boredom and crazy stupid movements.
Chrysanthepop I have never watched the Aqua teen series and I wondered whether it would be wise to watch the movie first. It was a gamble and I chose to watch it. 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters' starts off hilarious but somewhere later on a some of the jokes fall flat and I thought it could have used more humour but gradually it picks up and the last half hour had me laughing out loud. These adorably weird characters, especially the paper cup, the meatwad and the french fries are quite a team. It is quite obvious that 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters' is not for everyone. Yes, the jokes are adult and can be described as vulgar (I wouldn't recommend taking kids to this movie) but there is hardly enough time to dwell on that because the pacing is good and the events unfold quickly. For me it's a good cheer up movie but I doubt that would be the case with many. I say just roll with it and see what happens.
Tommy Nelson Let me first say I am not a fan of this show. I can find some humor in the show, but it's brought down by the fact that nothing makes sense ever at all. ATHF can barely sustain a 12-minute show. This movie lasted about 80 minutes, which was just too long for anyone to stand. In this film, Frylock wonders who his father and mother were, while a giant exercise machine takes over the town and makes Carl, the idiot human neighbor, buff. There's no real plot here, and often any plot will purposely be sidetracked to include characters from the show that have the fans screaming for more and everyone else (if anyone else saw this) wondering what exactly just happened. The ending to the film is the part that made the least sense, and perhaps if they would have tried harder to come out with a better ending then I would have been happier, but they didn't. They tried to make the ending as stupid and as anti-climactic as could be. The only thing that I really enjoyed was the occasional funny dialogue sprinkled among the poorly animated frenzy. So, in summation, the only people who will want to check this out are fans of the show, and people who enjoy singing concession stand commercials and talking watermelons. My rating: * 1/2 out of ****. 81 mins. Rated R for some language, violence and some sexual humor.
Jonny_Numb As I watched "Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters," I had my fair share of laughs, but the experience was similar to watching "The Simpsons Movie" last summer: there may be a lot of funny stuff going on, but the end result isn't very memorable or endearing, and the product mostly smacks of cynical greed-mongering. And what ultimately knocks "ATHFCMFfT" down from a place of potential greatness is a sense of overkill (the show has only been around for 5 seasons) crossed with what has sunk many a SNL-character-based feature: what works well in a 12-minute TV segment almost always wears out its welcome at feature length (even though "ATHFCMFfT" runs 87 minutes, it feels much longer). There is some funny stuff in the film--the first 20 minutes or so (beginning with a parody of theater-concession-ads and a visit from Abraham Lincoln) are hilarious, but once the plot begins to settle in (concerning a piece of gym equipment called The Insanoflex), the pace regularly buckles, and attempts to expand on characters like Dr. Weird (who is really only tolerable in his 5-second pre-credits appearances) are awkwardly heavy-handed. "ATHFCMFfT" serves its purpose and will not disappoint fans of the show, but it may just make them want to revisit the contained lunacy of its TV counterpart.
