It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

I was lucky enough to catch this movie on its opening night world premiere at the 20th Annual Cinequest film festival.I wasn't really expecting anything, but I was very surprised and delighted by this film. I really connected with it on several levels.I don't want to give away anything, so I'll just say, "This movie is a real treat! I highly recommend it and can't wait to see it again."I am not really sure what else I can say about this movie without giving it away. The actress, Tabrett Bethell, I didn't recognize until partway through the movie. She plays the role of Cara on "The Legend of the Seeker." It was definitely a sweet surprise to see her in this film. Now I have a new favorite film. I am looking forward to seeing what's next from Campbell Graham.

This movie was a hit at Cinequest. The presentation was endearing and light-hearted. It struck me as a very human, very truthful romance story--not at all like the typical Hollywood artificial romances that flood the market. And I don't know how many times it made the whole audience laugh out loud with its quirkiness.I am a movie addict who watches so many that I tend to get bored with most of them lately, but this one gripped my attention from the start and didn't let it go. The best part about Anyone You Want is how everyone I spoke with at the Film Festival seemed to get something completely different (and deep) out of it. I'd give some fun examples, but I hate it when people spoil movies for me. In fact, I would recommend not reading anything about it until you see it (I hate trailers in general). I plan on keeping an eye out for Socratis and Tabrett in the future, as well as anything directed or written by Campbell Graham.

I happened upon this film at the 2010 Cinequest Film Festival (which I attended for 12 days) and consider this one of the best films of the festival. It tells the tale of a lonely bachelor who becomes besotted with a homeless girl and drawn into her world of fantasy. She is such a free spirit that it makes you consider the baggage we all carry around, a message similar to Clooney's character in Up In The Air. And just like Up In The Air, when you think you have the story predicted... the situation changes.Excellent writing... very good directing... Tabrett Bethell shines on the screen and I predict she will become a household name.Kudos to Graham Campbell and his crew!
