American Pie Presents: Band Camp Audience Reviews

NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Afouotos Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
Abegail Noëlle While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Fleur Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
John K could everyone please stop ripping on this movie about how bad it is, if you go in with a super critical mind set and just try and rip the movie apart then fine it may lack in some aspects of a perfect movie if you look at the plot and acting. Personally I thought it was great if you are a teen just looking for a funny movie to watch it provides all the entertainment you need. If your just looking for a dramatic Oscars movie then go and watch something else but if you want a funny, jokes and relate able movie this is the movie. Its funny entertaining and the setting completes it all. But seriously if your some critic looking to do some lame report get a life this movie rocks!!!!
Jerique If it wasn't for Arielle Kebbel I doubt I would have bothered with the film. I wasn't really up for a film to be a spin-off from the original American Pie. While the spin-offs don't have much acclaim, this one isn't so terrible. It has a few good jokes and it's story is endearing.Matt Stifler (Tad Hilgenbrink) is older now and is trying to follow his brother, Steve, now in the porn industry. However, Matt's school prank against the band goes wrong and it gets him stuck at Band Camp. Chris Owen and Eugene Levy returning are the other reasons that make this installment of American Pie worthwhile.Tad Hilgenbrink resembles Sean William Scott in a lot of ways, which is a reason that makes the film work in a way. However, the plot is kinda flawed as Matt becomes emotional and caring whereas Steve Stifler never really cared about anything, or anyone.I still view this movie as reason to gawk and goggle at Arielle Kebbel. She's never looked hotter and she's the main attraction to this film. It's definitely not for kids and it's not entirely in the same raunchy category as the original American Pie or the sequel, but it does justice somewhat to them. It still is quite loyal and I view this one as the final sequel to the original films...at least until American Pie 4.
wes-connors Tenacious young Tad Hilgenbrink (as Matt Stifler, brother of Steve) is sent to "Band Camp" for monkeying around with his school's instruments. There, he plans to take moving pictures of women undressing. Go figure. Anyway, he falls for adorable Arielle Kebbel (as Elyse), which helps him make a "mature" decision about his stiffing collection. Erstwhile Eugene Levy (as Mr. Levenstein) is around, to help weakly provide "Pie" continuity. Not even half-baked shenanigans, for this fourth serving of the "American Pie" film franchise. Ms. Kebbel and the "playmates" are very sexy. Mr. Hilgenbrink makes a noteworthy first impression, in the starring role; but, this material is just mind-bogglingly weak. Whatever. Beats unemployment.** American Pie presents Band Camp (2005) Steve Rash ~ Tad Hilgenbrink, Arielle Kebbel, Eugene Levy
insomniac_rod On an inspired late night, TNT showed this "American Pie" sequel and I couldn't resist it and watched it. I wasn't disappointed. To be honest I'm not a huge fan of the "American Pie" movies but I enjoy them for what they are: dumb American comedies with humor that you can't resist. This one deals with Stiffler's younger brother (Stiffler was the most popular character in the previous films) being obligated to attend a Band Camp after serious bad conducts at school. There he has to interact with geeks, nerds, losers, and nerdy girls. That's a big problem for him because he's the typical stud who gets cheerleaders, hangs out with cool guys, and is always on parties. But he learns in the Band Camp that people shouldn't be judged because of looks so there he falls in love and meets some interesting although weird friends. The situations are funny and sometimes scatological. Of course, the sex jokes are very toned downed as this is a Direct to Video effort but still things are funny. Special mention for Eugene Levy who delivers a funny performance when required.Think about this movie as "Camp Cucamonga" meets "American Pie 2". Campy situations mixed with toned down sex jokes and likable lead characters (specially Stiffler Jr.).Be sure to get the unrated version.
