Ala Modalaindi Audience Reviews

Dirtylogy It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Matylda Swan It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
nelufar_up Reason to watch: Performance of Nani in Ashta Chamma.Outcome: AWESOME!!! As the movie starts one may think it to be usual Telugu action flick (thanks to director for such a creative start!). But as the journey of the first 2 introduced characters and the movie unfolds, you get to view a true rom-com :). Music, romance and comedy are very well inter-woven in the narrative and don't come as an obstacle. Best part is introduction of the characters, connecting them with fine details and later putting together all the loose ends in the plot appropriately. All the actors have played their characters to a tee. For a change liked the friendly and understanding presentation of the parents. In fact the most disputed generation gap conversation was presented in a very amiable way. (I know it is shown in many other movies too but the presentation is indeed novel.) Another worth mentioning piece is the satire on sensationalizing news. All in all, enjoyable romantic comedy!!!
Sai Tarun Ala Modalaindi is a fantastic love story with lots of fun........... Gautam (Nani) and Nitya (Nitya Menon) are failures in love. They meet each other in a marriage and become friends... Soon Gautam falls in love with Nitya unaware that she is getting married to another man.....Meanwhile, Gautam goes to Bangalore to stop Nitya's marriage and is kidnapped by a criminal who doesn't want him to stop the marriage....The rest of the story has many twists and is very funny to watch.... I will recommend this movie to everyone who love love stories with unexpected twists.....I give this 8.5/10
avik-r At the very beginning of the movie, the Hero "Goutham" (Nani) gets kidnapped by a professional kidnapper named John (Ashis Vidyarthi). During the course of the journey Goutham talks about his miserable love life. He was earlier in love with a girl (Kriti) who ditches him for a doctor. On the wedding day of his former girl friend, he meets a drunken girl Nitya (Nitya Menon) who happens to be the former girlfriend of the doctor.Soon friendship blossoms between Nitya and Gautham. As the days pass by, Gautham falls in love with Nitya and when he is about to propose, enters Nitya's fiancée. More such twists and turns follow till the climax. Ala Modalaindi is a romantic comedy and it stays sincere to the genre. It has some freshly written scenes and every once in a while it impresses you with that intelligent writing. Although film has some hiccups in the middle as the screenplay lags, it never loses the audience attention due to witty dialog and wonderful performances. Nani is confident. He brings some verve to the dull moments with his performance.Nitya Menon is the find of the season. What a talent she has. She has easily pulled this film off all by her own. On a lighter note, the real scene-stealer is Ramesh who plays the role of drunkard software engineer looking for a job. He is hilarious and livens up the scenes for the last half an hour with his perfect coming timing. Ashish Vidhyaradhi also provides good comedy in the end.Ala Modalaindi can be watched once (or twice) for its comedy in the second half and fresh approach. The twists and turns are also novel and keeps you on hook on a genre which is little predictable. But on the whole, it is just an above average flick. You are NOT going to lament for not getting your money's worth or wasting your time. My recommendation, go see it without much expectation and you'll enjoy it.
