Addiction Audience Reviews

Inclubabu Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
TrueHello Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
Merolliv I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
bjarias Spoiler... maybe?? The storyline in the end really winds up not making much sense... and eventually takes down the movie. She starts off just getting her climaxes and immediately ditching all the guys as fast as possible (sex only please). Then she meets Richy-Rich, and in an instant with the kid, she gets tangled in what amounts to a full-blown 'affair' (even though he's a major a-hole!). Where after she lasciviously gets her rocks-off (quite frequently BTW), she then hangs round lounging in his arms for quite awhile longer.. cuddling, talking, in addition to all manner of chest and face sucking. But once she gets busted (finally, by the unbelievably clueless husband).. she's right back to the bar again lookin to pick up strays.. and eventually winds up in real danger. There's no denying she was fully 'relishing' her time with her new young lover during the affair... so it ain't all just a sex-addiction. She definitely wanted another relationship outside her marriage... quite deliberately she sought one out, and she got it. She was full right-on at the end when telling the husband...'it can't be forgiven.' And like the rich-kid not long before said to her..'they're all idiots'.. and hubby surely will be one if he ever does. Save the kids!.. and run with them away from her as fast as possible.
willi-33 yes, there are not many surprises in this movie. The described kind of promiscuitivity will destroy the victims life sooner or later. And some day the victim will meet the person that beats her/him near to death. No, it wasn't me, but i've met her after this 'last' person, that tore her life into pieces. She wouldn't have stopped else i think, but then she did, kind of. I couldn't understand her statements on that. It didn't make her feel good. at least not longer than a day or two. She didn't enjoy it at all. I think it can be compared to turkey for the next drink/fix/...For this unpleasant dejavu i vote this movie 9 points.
ellentaylor10 I disagree with the previous reviewer's comments on the script. The film is well written; the dialogue simple, real and without ostentatiousness. It's a personal drama and the script reflects that. It's not the kind of film to throw in twists for the sake of plot interest. It's an exploration of one woman's descent into her addiction: slowly, gradually, and with full knowledge of where she's headed, we watch her life disintegrate. That's what happens with addiction. The low-key nature of this film is what makes it so good. The direction is stylish yet simple, and complements the script very well. How much worse to over-dramatise what is already highly dramatic subject matter?
janne-junnonen I disagree with the previous reviewer about the ads.. I think the product placement in this movie is done with a good taste and it's not too obvious compared to many other movies.Anyway, the movie itself could have been so much better with a better script. The movie is well-directed, actors are good and good-looking, atmosphere is fitting, and basically all the elements for a good film are there - BUT the script is totally unoriginal, predictable and boring. The screenwriter should have included some surprising twists to the plot. As it is, it resembles more a propaganda film for conservative moralists than an entertaining, fictional movie.
