A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas Audience Reviews

Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
Thehibikiew Not even bad in a good way
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Cody One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
gokulchandanirinkesh I watched this after watching the first two parts and I thought that the wildness was lacking.Though the movie is good, the typical Harold and Kumar fun was slightly missing.I would have given it a 7/10 if that fun would have been there. The wildness is just decent according to the standards that the first two parts have set.Expected to be more of it but still a good movie to watch.
Python Hyena A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas (2011): Dir: Todd Strauss- Schulson / Cast: John Cho, Kal Penn, Neil Patrick Harris, Danny Trejo, Thomas Lennon: Christmas and pot smoking seem to be the holiday theme in this festive third outing featuring the Asian American Kumar and Chinese American Harold. The pair have gone separate ways with Harold now married and big on wall street, while Kumar is still his regular self living in an apartment and given the news that his girlfriend is pregnant. When an ominous package addressed to Harold lands outside his door, he delivers it only to end up burning the Christmas tree down that Harold's strict father- in-law brought. This simplistic setup is followed by numerous adventures to find a tree where they are hunted down by drug dealers, get a baby high on cocaine, and even accidentally shoot Santa himself. The humour is extra offensive this time out but features terrific 3-D elements including a sequence done in claymation. Director Todd Strauss-Schulson is backed with the same innovation that sold the first two films. Cho and Penn are still appealing as they find themselves again entrapped within strange subplots including one involving a waffle making robot. Neil Patrick Harris turns up in a great musical number although his vision of Heaven is offensive. The play on his sexuality is well placed. Danny Trejo as the grim father-in-law is given a background voicing his anguish. Thomas Lennon is very funny as an associate of Harold's whose baby gets stoned high. Colorful low blow holiday comedy about reconnection. Score: 6 / 10
bbewnylorac I feel guilty giving this film such a high rating. After all, its heroes are two immature stoner guys, and the film has gratuitous nudity, drug use and violence. And the plot is very shallow -- it revolves around trying to find a new Christmas Tree for Harold (John Cho) because his estranged best friend Kumar (Kal Penn) accidentally destroyed it. That's it! But like Will Ferrell at his best, this subversive Christmas movie is wickedly funny, and not afraid of breaking taboos, such as depicting a baby getting (accidentally) stoned on marijuana and cocaine, and depicting Jesus holding court next to topless women at a bar in 'heaven'. Penn and Cho are simply great comic actors. They're the Odd Couple - - Kumar more shambolic and Harold uptight and trying to be upright. Much of he humour comes from Harold pointing out the absurdity of every situation they get into, and Kumar trying to bluff their way out. Also like a Will Ferrell movie, all the supporting actors are excellent. Neil Patrick Harris gives a hysterical turn as a 'straight' actor pretending to be gay to give himself more credibility. Harris is clearly enjoying himself immensely. As in previous Harold and Kumar movies, there are a lot of jokes about a wide range of races, but it's kept light-hearted and isn't mean. The only quibble I'd have is that too many women in the film are stereotypical semi-nude bimbos. They're not given enough scope to be witty or smart. But otherwise, along with Bad Santa, I hope this film becomes an annual staple on my TV!!!
Alexander Hermes If you loved the original you should take the night off get a little silly and watch this movie. Firsty the opening scene with Patton Oswalt as a mall Santa was hilarious. Danny Trejo is brilliant in his role as well. And of course NPH back wherever God takes him is a riot as well as the biggest sleaze in the seven seas. The plot is pretty lazy but i guess thats the general idea. The writer is Jon Hurwitz not to be confused with Mitchell Hurwitz who created Arreseted Development and is a genius sadly unlike Jon so don't expect too much there. I predicted the final moments of the film which made me laugh and explains a lot about the logistics of Christmas eve.You can see from the addition of major action sequences that the budget has been upped dramatically. This being said there are some shameful product placements but they make them fun and the 3D effects bring it all home and you can almost smell the wacky tobaccy wafting towards you.All in all a fantastic off beat Christmas/stone film and it seems there is already plans for a 4th. Im excited. You should feel these nipples. I give it a 7.1 out of 10 for a decent 3rd film especially as I feel the 2nd was average at best.
