Platicsco Good story, Not enough for a whole film
2freensel I saw this movie before reading any reviews, and I thought it was very funny. I was very surprised to see the overwhelmingly negative reviews this film received from critics.
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Michael_Elliott A Night at the Movies: Cops & Robbers and Crime Writers (2013)*** 1/2 (out of 4) Another very good documentary from Turner Classic Movies. As with previous films in their "A Night at the Movies" series, this one here takes some famous people and has them talk about the movies that influenced them. James Ellroy, Toot Penzler, Chuck Hogan, George Pelecanos, Don Winslow, Heywood Gould and Lee Child are just a few of the people who are interviewed here as they discuss various films dealing with cops and robbers. Various genres are covered including action but film noir gets some special attention since it deals with both sides of the law who more often than not find themselves on the same side. Overall this is something film buffs are really going to enjoy and I'd say people new to the genre will also enjoy it but they should be warned that the ending to many films are given away. To this day I don't see the point in spoiling the movies but oh well. This one features clips from many great films with the likes of BONNIE AND CLYDE, THE GETAWAY, DIRTY HARRY, GUN CRAZY, DOG DAY AFTERNOON, SIDE STREET and THE ASPHALT JUNGLE getting special attention.
