4 Horror Tales: Dark Forest Audience Reviews

Keira Brennan The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
Sameeha Pugh It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
Fulke Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Yazmin Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
morrigan1982 The story takes place in the woods, where five friends go there to have some fun. It is nice, it is sunny and the woods seem so bright and welcoming. In the woods they knock down some pile of rocks which are wish – prayers (I think) and there are hints that they might have something to do with the story but they are nowhere mentioned, so I might be mistaken. Although the director seems to be pretty persistent about them, but still there is no mention to why they seem to be important in the story because the camera persistently points at them, but at the same time they don't seem to have anything to do with the story! Confused about that part, really. The characters are indifferent. The story is weird, it has potentials though. The problem is with the plot, which is very very slow. VERY slow. But it was faster than some other movies that I have seen so I didn't mind that much. I didn't get the whole wood and blood part and why did blood which was spilled on the ground, turned them to … something… zombies…???? I really don't know what they were; sorry… So the story had holes and the explanations during the movie helped a lot; but there are some holes left. For example if those things (????zombies????) come after you; why the fourth woman was hiding in the car and why they didn't see her from the beginning, why didn't she chase that other guy who was their searching for her all this time. Because their main goal seems to be killing whoever is alive, so…?????And really what is going on with the rocks???? Does anybody know????
richnieh Usually, K-Horror will provide a lot of tension or many shocks in the movie but this movie has neither. The theme of the story is old but it is a horror movie so you can work on it. Apparently, the writer were writing the story lying in bed or the director was constant drunk before the set. They try to be Blair witch project but they are far from it.There were no tension, the actors were inexperienced and some of these kind of movie at least provide some eye candies. Well, the eye candy were dead after 15 minutes (3 minutes that they were actually filming her). The killing does not make any sense. Every death should not happen in that way. In my opinion, after they know how to deal with the threat, everyone of them should be alive... There were minimal of actions but they prolong it too much. I actually beg them to kill each quicker because they kept talking to themselves during the action scene.I never regret about watching the movie, it was a time killer anyway. I ended up playing Diablo 3 during the movie, I fill my own actions for the movie. I would not recommend it to anyone else unless you have two TV and watch two different movies at the same time. (Yeah, I am crazy like that).
Katherine Stephanie When I pick this title, I expect a good K-Horror that can make me grab my pillow, cover my face with it as the ghosts/grisly murderers/whatever come out, or at least a "nice" thriller to kill of the insomnia. Instead, I was pointing my fingers all throughout the movie to my TV, cursing the bad storyline and the annoying characters (which were either too stupid, too naive, too annoying, and too cranky). At some points it was so bad, I have to fast-forward the DVD just to get by. Yep, that's how bad it got.A bit of advice, if you're in the mood for some horror chills, for the love of Rosemary's Baby, don't watch this movie. Unless, you were feeling a little down and thinking that you were the stupidest person in the planet, then please watch this movie. It will give you relief, as you will find out that there are people stupider than you.
comic_bookguy Five very boring characters take off for a weekend in the forest. Once there, strange things start to happen: one of the girls is having visions where she sees her friends die in the most horrible ways. Soon her visions are becoming true. Really, really bad horror film with many long, melodramatic scenes. There's a lot of blood, many bad actors and little logic. The only thing this turkey is reminiscent of is the unbelievably bad Thai movie "Diecovery". The only really good film in this four-part horror "series" (the others being "Roommates", "February 29" and "Forbidden Floor") is "February 29", imho. "Dark Forest", on the other hand, is purely bottom-of-the-barrel stuff.
