2012 Doomsday Audience Reviews

AniInterview Sorry, this movie sucks
RyothChatty ridiculous rating
ScoobyMint Disappointment for a huge fan!
Sammy-Jo Cervantes There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
jadzia92 I am quite happily admit being Catholic but this end of days movie simply did do it for me. The atmosphere of this film was very very dull with its characters and the pacing. There was nothing about 2012: Doomsday that made want to care about what was going on in this movie and why I should care about the characters. Much of the dialogue here gets muddled along without any sense of what the characters are trying to say. 2012: Doomsday is notable for being one of the last acting work from Cliff De Young as he has been in anything since 2010, two years after the release of 2012: Doomsday. Doomsday for me truly refers to the quality of the movie itself as it was quite a doom in not having any enjoyment out of this film.
geekgirl101 This movie feels like it was written by 2 directors who had different reasons to why the world was coming to an end and then decided to end it with just the one reason.Planet Earth is for some reason being affected by the gravitational pull from the super massive black hole in the center of the universe, resulting in spontaneous global catastrophes. These events were already prophesied by the Mayans, however despite this being a cosmic event there is a safety off button in the form of a baby being born at an altar in one of the ancient Mayan temples accompanied by God's messengers. There's much Christian dribble being spewed about that it just makes you want to cringe. The Christians are portrayed as stereotypical airheads full of smiles who act like they're high on drugs even though the world is falling apart under their feet and debris in the form of silly string is falling from the sky.Despite at the end the baby is delivered at the right place at the right time accompanied by 4 skeptic "messengers", the rapture has already taken place. Planet Earth is no longer being affected by the super massive black hole and everyone who's left behind gets to continue to live their lives minus the Christian evangelists... YAHOO!!!!!! Actually this is probably one of the best ever endings which is why I've given this movie a rating of 2 instead of 1.I don't need to say anything about the special effects as there's already plenty of venom being spewed over just how awful they are, and the same goes for the poor acting.
kfraser0535 Some movies are so awful, they're funny. It movie is just awful. The writing and production is at an elementary school level. The movie is a train wreck. You know you shouldn't look but you can't stop watching it. At the beginning of the movie there is a volcano that looks like a grade six science project. This should be the first clue that the rest of the movie won't be much better. There are a couple of hot looking blondies in the movie, however their characters are terrible. When all hell is breaking loose I guess they forgot to tell the people in the background. The people are just walking and driving about, doing their daily routines. It's insulting to Christians, insulting to the Maya and insulting to anyone that thinks they might spend time to waste on this trash.
laurentusa-1 Just watched the WORST Christian propaganda movie, EVER!! 2012 Doomsday (2009). A true road kill, the worst script, the worst plot, the worst acting, the worst EVERYTHING.... Could not stop watching.....LOVED IT, it was as good as going to the dentist, OK as good as LEAVING the dentist.. IMDb has a 1.9 rating, must be the lower I have ever seen...I don't even think it went to DVD ;-)Yet it was so much worst and yet so much better then watching QVC at 1AM on a Saturday..... My belly still hurts from laughing ;-)If you need a good insomnia movie to help you fall asleep while feeling extra good about yourself because you were not of any part of this trash, Enjoy
