When asked about the filming of Avatar 2, Stephen Lang said he was made to cry by the script for Avatar 5 (sic).
Stephen Lang famously died as Major Miles Quarter in "Avatar," but somehow he reprises his role as the villain in the sequel, whether it's the same character or not is a secret.
"When I read the last script, I cried," Lang said to Collider after collider was asking him what it was like working on Avatar 2. I just thought it was so beautiful, such a great story. It's original. I'm deeply moved by it. I'm sure the audience will, too, and there's a sense of liberation at the end."
Four sequels, including 2017's "Avatar 2," were scheduled for release in 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025. In 2019, four sequels will be available in 2021, 2023, 2025 and 2027. The COVID-19 pandemic, which began last year, has pushed back the ill-fated sequel, which won't be released until 2028.
